Yarra Valley
The Yarra Valley is one of Australia’s foremost cool climate wine regions. Its history in wine traces back to the early 1800s, but its modern history goes back to the 1960s, and indeed, the oldest vineyards in the Yarra today were planted in the 1960s and 1970s. The Yarra is best known for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay but has also produced some stunning Shiraz and Cab Sav in the right vintages.
Less than one hour out of Melbourne, the Yarra is a can’t miss for any true wine enthusiast.
