We believe that Payne’s Rise produces some great wine.  It is hard to tell, however, because their tastings are so tiny and the people so cranky (this view has been established across three separate experiences).  We would suggest if you are party of two or fewer in the off season, give it a look.  The cellar door is adorable.  If you’re three or more and there are other cars on the road, go elsewhere.
