She Oak Hill 2015 Estate Shiraz – 97 Points

Dense blackberry. Hints of soft vanilla. A delicate symphony of dark spices. Wave after wave of polished flavours spread broadly across the palate – broadly but with unified intent. A meaty, substantial wine, and yet somehow a ballerina’s grace across the palate. The holy Heathcote unity of elegance and might are nowhere captured better than here. Like the ocean on a starry night. Endless power and depth beneath a face bright and smooth.

When you love a wine this much but can’t even come close to capturing it with mere words, numbers might come closer – 97/100. We have now drunk enough of this wine to say decisively that it is one of the five best Shiraz we have enjoyed over the last several years. It is no small thing to score a wine this highly, but if you’re drinking this wine in the next couple years, we have never been more confident.

Score: 97/100 (drinking in 2021)
It is impossible to know exactly how any wine will evolve. To enjoy the experience described above, we recommend drinking over the next three years. This wine is perfect now.
