2024:

Who doesn’t love Windy Creek Estate?!?! What a refreshing winery to call into! The place is honest, friendly and warm, and it offers good wines at fantastic prices. Proprietor and wife to the third generation winemaker, Ruth Cobanov often works the cellar door herself, and what a treat to do a tasting with her. Despite its broad range, all the Windy Creek wines are good! We especially recommend you try the light and spicy Grenache, the complex & rustic Touriga Nacional, and the juicy delight that is their Temrpanillo. Finally, we highly recommend the 2021 Family Reserve Shiraz that so perfectly captures the region’s potential with this great varietal – rich but elegant yum.

What a find this place is!  Yet another stop with breathtaking views and impeccable service!  The people here are so lovely and warm, and generous in their tastings (we gather most of the staff has been there some while). Windy Creek really stands out, though, in the value-for-money department. We don’t know where else anymore you can find a fairly broad range of all credible to some really good wines pretty much all under the $20 mark.  You’ve really got to check this place out!
