Summary:

Howard Park is a sizeable winery with a lavish cellar door.  But where polish and pizzazz are so often an attempt to cover over faults, Howard Park actually delivers the good.  Owning land in both Margaret River and the Great Southern, HP can really put on a show with its extensive range.  For example, HP’s Marchand & Burch label is essentially a French/Australian fusion with a French winemaker crafting the wines from Howard Park’s Great Southern fruit.  A side-by-side tasting of Howard Park’s Pinot Noir and Chardonnay next to their Marchand & Burch counterparts is such a special experience!  Howard Park’s entry level range, MadFish, also contains a few gems.

In a nutshell, it is one of the most striking cellar doors in the Margaret River.  The staff are fun, friendly, and keen to show off their wares.  The range is extensive and contains some incredible wines.  We particularly rate their Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, and perfect (and priced accordingly) Cab Shiraz.  All-in-all, a guaranteed good time.
