On wine alone, Scotchmans Hill must be one of the top three wineries in all of the sub-regions around Geelong. This place regularly cranks out some of the best wines the Bellarine is capable of producing and across several varietals at that. We have always loved their whites, but most recently, we find Scotchmans Hill’s Shiraz and Pinot Noir equally stunning.  We don’t support paying over $50 for a bottle of wine, but the precision and beauty of their Cornelius range has us thinking twice 🙂

The service at Scotchmans used to be impeccable; these guys were good at handling busy days. But most recently, Scotchmans has been unable to cope with the various restrictions, limitations, and bottlenecks brought on by COVID.  In fairness, like most other wineries that we have visited recently in heavily touristed areas, you might say they have been infected.  We have high hopes they will return to their former impeccable standards in the near future.
