Summary:

Don’t be deceived by the cute name and logo or the stunning cellar door; this place produces serious wines too! There is no doubt that one of Foxeys great appeals is its impressive cellar door, set atop a dramatic ravine covered in grape vines. Life does not feel more special than when one is enjoying wine on their deck on a sunny day. But this is only true because the wines you are enjoying themselves are special. At the moment, we particularly love their Brut NV bubbles. Not overpowering in any aspect, but plenty of juicy blueberry in the background to make this one double yum. Their 2013 Fortified Shiraz is also a serious wine to be considered. Again a little blueberry, but tons of depth and a little earthiness make this a fortified a serious red drinker will enjoy. Finally (and sadly) if you are able to locate any of Foxeys’ 2014 Kentucky Road Pinot Noir, we recommend you buy the lot (or let us know so we can). Sold out at cellar door, it was one of the top five AUS Pinot Noirs we ever had.
