Hesket Estate is an absolutely  charming winery and cellar door that captures much of the best of what a “boutique winery” is all about. Friendly staff, beautiful views of their pristine vineyard, and delicious handmade wines. The 2015 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were showstoppers (clearly an ace vintage in Macedon). These wines sang with joy.  Macedon wines don’t come better than these. 

In our most recent visit, we loved the deep sparkling Blanc de Noir, the poignant 2018 Chardonnay, both the 2016 & 2018 Pinot Noirs, and their super smooth Heathcote Shiraz.  Pleased to say that as of Dec 2020, COVID has not killed the tasting experience here!  If you’re in Macedon, Hesket is a top 5 stop!

As of Nov 2021, Hesket has begun charging $10  to taste four wines – a bit of a disappointment insofar as it is a disservice to the breadth of their great range.
