If you love beautiful Shirazes, look no further. This is Shiraz heaven! The place is the pinnacle of what Heathcote Shiraz is all about. Their Shirazes rightfully take home award after award (including multiple hyper-prestigious Heathcote Wine Show golds year after year). And who can’t appreciate a house serving up only a few red wines (although most recently, Sanguine has added Tempranillo and Cabernet to its portfolio – we’re interested to see how these progress)? That is the level of commitment that really pays. Some say Sanguine’s best is the equal of Penfolds’ world-famous Grange or Henschke’s stop-you-in-your-tracks Hill of Grace. But we noticed one big difference for sure – attractive prices we could afford.
It is also worth noting that Sanguine is a family-owned winery that takes great care to hire staff of the highest quality; you can almost always expect a professional and informative cellar door experience.
