You have to love family owned wineries (such as Zema), particularly in a region with as much potential as Coonawarra.  They can still do things (like keep a wine two years in a barrel and two more in the bottle before releasing it) that the biggies just cannot.  And so at Zema, you will find wines made at a level of quality that aren’t much around anymore.  Jeez, their Sparkling Merlot is delicious – who knew the variety had such complexity?  And the Family Seclection Cabernet – a study in intense sophistication.  You need to pay this place a visit!
