Torbreck boasts a beautiful and very modern cellar door. If Frank Gehry had taken on the assignment to temper his style and build a modern/minimalist cellar door, this would surely have been it. As you ascend the semi-circle floating planks towards the entrance, you’ll wonder if you mightn’t be in Fire Island or Malibu, taking in sweeping vineyard views on the way. Though relatively small, the inside is all polished sleekness. Sipping ultra-premium wines whilst attended by consummately professional staff (Shan is A++ if you’re lucky enough to get her), you will certainly feel exclusive.

While Torbreck’s winemaking style does not dovetail completely with our tastes, the place is widely considered on of Australia’s greatest wine houses.  How can you not love a place that “was created with the aim of building one of the best wine estates in the world”?
