Although we have never visited Schild Estate’s winery (tasting room only recently opened), we have seen them at many wine shows and, over the years, have drunk many of their wines.   From our perspective, Schild Estate must be on of Australia’s go-to brands for reliably high quality bottles in the $20-$25 range.  All of Schild’s drops are great.  Some, like their 2015 GMS, their 2016 Cab Sav, or any year of their Sparkling Shiraz, reach heavenly status.  

Schild also produces a small range of super premium Shiraz.  We generally won’t pay over $60 for any bottle of wine, but if you are into that thing, these get high marks from the industry heavyweights.  Either way, you won’t go wrong with Schild.
