Summary:

Bird In Hand boasts one of the most stunning cellar doors we have ever visited. Lavish finishes and impeccable attention to design have produced something out of a fantasy world, like Apocalypse Now meets The Great Gatsby, in a good way. Where some Barossa cellar doors come off as Disneylandesque, sipping wine in Bird In Hand’s beautifully lit wine catacombs only lends gravity to the delightful affair.  On top of the unparalleled atmosphere, Bird In Hand’s well trained staff usually offer great service.

The WINES! We don’t put much on awards, but there is good reason BIH has won Australian Winemaker of the Year in both 2014 and 2015. While 60% of their sales may be sparkling wines, their Chardonnays, Shirazes, and most especially Cab Savs are mind-blowingly delicious.  The back vintage Cab we drank there in 2017 was the best Cab Sav we had that entire year.  In all, we cannot recommend Bird In Hand enough.
